Dr. Dempsey’s ready smile is something I admire and appreciate from my 2 1/2 years working at Albuquerque Neuroscience. He was our Principal Investigator in more ways than one, with his many affinities including Gevalia Coffee , an office staple for patients and all, L’Occtaine products, his bees and trees, his favorite Mexican restaurant with modest trappings and a bus tub of freshly peeled potatoes. Mike and Gerrie “treated” all the staff for lunch on numerous occasions! Each of us could choose our birthday lunch restaurant, and the meal was provided to all staff. Dr. Dempsey was generous. He was respectful of patients, and with yellow legal pad in hand completed intakes in a relaxed manner with clinical detail. His hospitality, faithfulness to friends, and love of family was evident. My husband Mike (Smith) and I feel this loss.
